With over 40 years of experience in solid waste management and remediation of contaminated areas. For 13 years he worked at CETESB, an environmental control agency, where he was one of those responsible for establishing the Industrial Waste Control Programme in the State of São Paulo. He was technical consultant of Limpurb, the agency responsible for the management of Public Cleaning in the country's largest city, São Paulo. In 1989 he founded Ambiterra, which would become one of the leading environmental consulting companies, characterised by technological innovation and quality. In 2002, with 130 employees, the stock control was sold to ESSENCIS S.A., one of the largest solid waste operators in the country, where he took the position of technical director. In 2006 he left the group to his own company, Ambconsult, focused on solid waste management consultancy, from service planning to final destination projects. In 2023 it was acquired by the Quadrante Group. He has over 27 publications including articles, handouts, book chapters. He was the supervisor of two Master's dissertations and of one as co-supervisor at the University of Free State in South Africa.
